Today the Tigers completed the sweep of the Indians in dominating fashion with their pitching. Verlander set the tempo in game one which I believe set the tone for the rest of the series. Jackson had a great game in game two, then Porcello completed it in game 3 with a good pitching performance. Lets get back to game one of the series in which Verlander was so good it was sad to see the offense didn't produce to take some of the pressure off of him to be so flawless, but those are the type of games that really show the talent of the pitching Detroit has and how this year the tigers are willing to grind it out to the end for the win, something they weren’t really willing to do last year.
Now lets get to the other thing everyone was talking about in game one: THE CATCH! This was the catch Curtis Granderson made to rob Grady Sizemore of a game winning 2 run walk-off home run and help secure the win for Verlander. This catch I would have to put in the top 3 catches I’ve seen from a tigers player. Its been nice to see how strong the tigers bullpen has been. It has reminded me a lot of the 2006 tigers bullpen. Anyways I can go on and on talking about how impressive the tigers have looked but it doesn't mean anything unless they keep it up all the way through October. Go Tigers!!!
