SO, here we go again. Heading down the same road that we (the fans) have been down before. Kevin Smith decided to open up to the media and say... ... the lions are going to make the playoff this year. Ok, I know the lions could have won some games that they lost last year, but that’s a bold statement to make (even coming from a bold player like Smith) when you have a new coaching staff and a new QB under center. After Jon Kitna said that 2 seasons in a row with no actual results, how can you make that prediction. I mean don't get me wrong, I love Kevin Smiths attitude but saying the lions are going to make the playoffs is kind of like me saying I’m going to win the lottery. It just doesn't seem that its ever going to happen but best of luck and I really hope I’m wrong in both cases. There’s a lot of hope that the lions can turn it around and with the addition of Larry Foote, I am confident in saying we have one of the best and deepest Line Backing units in the league which will help the defense a lot. :)
